Mount Eliza Men’s Shed is a place for local men to gather socially, form friendships and contribute to our wider community.
Our goals are to provide a range of inclusive programs and activities which focus on the health and wellbeing of local men. We look to include their families, people with disabilities and those affected by social isolation as well.
Men’s Shed's are a place for men to meet, work, share and support each other.
The focus of any Men’s Shed is to create a supportive environment where like-minded individuals can get together and reap the benefits of social engagement through common interests within their community.
The Mount Eliza Men’s Shed is a program from the Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House and is open to local men aged 18 and above. It is particularly aimed at those who have retired (partially or fully) from the workforce, those who may be between jobs, or younger men who are not yet working.
Current activities include woodwork, small community projects and socialising.
We’re part of the Mornington Peninsula Men’s Shed Network.

Expanding our shed
Our small, temporary shed has been kindly hosted by the Mount Eliza Country Club since 2016.
But plans are underway to construct a dedicated shed of around 200sqm in Mount Eliza. Our aim is to accommodate more members and increase our timetable of sessions. To that end, we have been liaising with Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and the community on other possible shed sites in Mount Eliza.
If you, or your organisation, are interested in helping us to plan and build our new shed, please contact us. We will need the help and support of the Mount Eliza community to make it a reality.
